Distributed Ledger Law seeks to explore the intersections between distributed ledger technology and the law through news updates and in-depth analyses. The blog was launched on 27 June 2017.
Marc Van de Looverbosch (that’s me) founded Distributed Ledger Law out of curiosity about the ways in which distributed ledger technology and the law interact. I am a PhD researcher at KU Leuven, where my research revolves around good faith acquisition of financial assets (see the video below). I am also a lawyer at DLA Piper (Antwerp, Belgium), where most of my work consists of advising and litigating for clients in the financial sector.
